Better than Perfect Skin

Stress affects every single organ in your body, and that includes your skin. It can cause your skin to break out in splotches, rashes, and bumps. It can also cause dry skin and even be responsible for dark circles under your eyes.

Stress can cause premature aging in the form of wrinkles. It can also cause you to break out in pimples, even if you don’t normally have them. When you are under stress, your body releases cortisol, which causes your skin to produce more oil.

Stress can also have negative impacts on your immune system. When your immune system is compromised, it becomes harder for your skin to heal blemishes, pimples, rashes and even small cuts or scrapes. Stress eating also impacts your skin’s health by interfering with your nutrition.
